Training
Candidates and parties committed to democratic competition in difficult electoral environments often lack the resources to make informed decisions about campaign strategy and design. The cluster is developing a training program and a set of data tools for pro-democracy campaign strategists.
What the program covers
- Training from cluster researchers and experienced campaign strategists on democratic campaign development.
- How to use empirical evidence at the decision points where campaigns commit resources.
- Accessible tools that let strategists visualize panel survey data and fine-grained electoral returns from previous elections.
Engagement with practitioners
The research component is linked to engagement with party strategists and campaign workers. The cluster connects with practitioners in the countries it studies and invites them to action-oriented meetings and workshops, alongside conference sessions and workshops hosted at Notre Dame and with partner institutes.
Practitioners also join the cluster’s courses. Recent guest sessions are listed on the teaching page.
Status
The training program is in development. Details, including format, dates and how to take part, will be announced.
