The Organizational Change Management Team, consisting of certified change practitioners and experienced trainers, manages the people side of change by helping individuals transition through organizational changes. In short, Change Management creates value for your most important assets, the people.
Our change practitioners focus on stakeholders, communications, coaching, support, and advocating with purpose and intention to ensure smooth transitions as new technologies are implemented. The team is available to consult on technology changes across the University as well as provide training on how your department can more effectively manage the personal impact of technology changes.
Scott Siler is the Director of the Training and Transitions team and has been with the University since 1990. Scott received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Notre Dame and a Master of Arts in Math Education from Ball State University. Scott says, “The challenge of getting reluctant stakeholders to buy into a change” is why he enjoys Change Management. Scott is Prosci certified and holds additional certifications as a Certified Change Manager (CCMP), a Project Management Practitioner (PMP), and an Advanced Instructor for the Prosci change management methodology.
Joe Buckhanan is an Organizational Change Manager and has been working at the University since 2015, Joe received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information Systems from Indiana Wesleyan University. He states that he enjoys change management because “[He] likes being a part of how people start to use new things that will help them work better.” Joe is Prosci certified.
Maureen Hogue is an Organizational Change Manager and has been working at the University since 1999. Maureen received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Ferris State University. Maureen really enjoys “witnessing the relief and seeing the positive impact felt by those who initially perceived the change as challenging.” Maureen is Prosci certified.
Donna Thompson is an Organizational Change Manager and has been working at the University since 2002. Donna received her Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Ball State University and a Master of Science in Occupational and Technical Education from Old Dominion University. Donna likes helping people cross from “what was” to “what is” without feeling like they are alone on a high wire. Donna is Prosci Certified.
Amber Walter is an Organizational Change Manager and has been working at the University since 2022. She received a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and a double major in Sociology from the University of Indianapolis. She also holds a Master of Science in Higher Education from Florida International University and a Master of Management in Hospitality from Boston University. Amber finds a passion for change management because “Change is scary. If I can help make the process easier for someone, that can determine the person’s outlook and experience. It’s a cool feeling.” Amber is Prosci certified and holds additional certifications on the OIT Project Process and was part of the Google Certification Program in Project Management.
Lisa Weinberg is an Organizational Change Manager and has been working at the University since 2003. Lisa went to Western Michigan University, where she studied Marketing and Business. Lisa has an immense passion for change management and challenges everyone to “Be curious. Stay curious–never stop asking why!” She believes that “If done well, change management helps answer all the whys.” Lisa is certified in Prosci and holds an additional certification as a Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP).
