Building Notre Dame’s Own Mars Rover

About Domer Rover
We are the University of Notre Dame’s premier student-led Mars rover team. Our multidisciplinary members design, build, and test a competition-ready rover for the University Rover Challenge, gaining hands-on experience in engineering, manufacturing, programming, and systems integration.
What We Build
Domer Rover combines several interconnected systems to create a capable and reliable competition rover.
Mobility
The chassis, suspension, and drivetrain allow the rover to traverse uneven, challenging terrain.

Robotic Arm
The robotic arm is designed to complete equipment servicing, object manipulation, and delivery tasks.

Science
The science module supports sample collection and analysis for simulated planetary science missions.

Autonomy and Control
The rover’s software, sensors, electronics, and communication systems allow operators to control the rover and complete autonomous navigation tasks.

Join Us
Domer Rover welcomes students from all years, academic backgrounds, and skill levels. Members gain hands-on experience, develop technical and leadership skills, and contribute directly to the rover’s design and construction.
