Sub-Team Breakdown

Mechanical/Design Team

The Mechanical team designs and builds the rover’s physical backbone, using CAD modeling, 3D printing, and CNC machining to construct a rugged chassis, suspension, and robotic arm capable of conquering extreme terrain.

Electrical Team

The Electrical team powers the rover and brings its hardware to life through custom PCB design, wire harness architecture, and power management for high-torque motor drivers and telemetry radios.

Software/Controls Team

The Software team gives the rover its brain, developing autonomous navigation pipelines, computer vision algorithms, and real-time teleoperation interfaces using ROS.

Science Team

The Science team engineers custom payload mechanisms to collect soil samples and run onboard biological and chemical analyses for University Rover Challenge (URC) field testing.
