Participants

Participants in the workshop have expertise that crosses disciplinary and domain boundaries, but which for convenience we will describe along two dimensions: Data and AI scholars & practitioners, and Democracy scholars & practitioners. The conveners each come from one.

The data and AI domain scholars and practitioners are leaders in the development of FAIR data practices and scientific infrastructure. They and their organizations facilitate the work of many diverse scientific and pratitioner communities to transform their data resources and practices for the digital and AI ages.

The democracy domain scholars and practitioners are leaders in the development of scientific infrastructure for democracy scholarship and practice. They and their organizations are dedicated to advancing the data practices and capabilities of the field. Some have a formal role in Monitoring Electoral Democracy (MEDem); others have roles in major democracy research infrastructures.
