My 3 Minutes Thesis Adventure
I have always had trouble speaking in front of public. I get so nervous that my voice cracks and my eyes fill with water. Especially I get very nervous if I need to give a presentation in English because it is not my native language. In order to get over my anxiety and challenge myself, I attended the 3 Minutes Thesis (3MT) competition at University of Notre Dame, in which you are required to talk about your project in 3 minutes to a very general audience. You need to make sure you simplify the language when you are talking about your project and get rid of the jargon cause you want the audience to understand what you are doing. You need to deliver your talk in an interesting and striking way and very fluently. It was indeed a very big challenge, but I ended up in the Finals. Even though I did not win the competition, I was the winner to compete and deliver my talk in front of many people. You can find my talk here:
