Jin is an Incoming Assistant Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Notre Dame, starting from July 2026. He is currently an IIN Postdoctoral Fellow at Northwestern University (2022-2026). Jin obtained his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) (2021) and his B.E. in Materials Science and Engineering at Wuhan University of Technology (2016). Jin’s research has been published in top journals such as Nature Catalysis, Science Advances, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Nano Letters, and featured in major media outlets including ScienceDaily, Science News Today, Green Car Congress, ELETime. His work has been recognized by the CAS Future Leaders Top 100, International Institute for Nanotechnology (IIN) Outstanding Researcher Award, ACS ENFL Future Investigator.
