I am a PhD student working on the PalEON project to reconstruct how ancient forests have changed in composition and structure over the last 10,000 years. My main focus is working on how to best assimilate paleo-ecologic data in a way that highlights future steps for improving our predictions. More broadly, I am interested in the fusion of ecological theory, data, and modern statistical techniques to deepen our understanding of vegetation response to climate change as well as how that understanding can be applied to inform more just climate responses.
