The Student Coalition for Immigration Advocacy (SCIA) is dedicated to fostering solidarity, resilience, and collective action in support of immigrant communities and all people impacted by systemic inequality. In a time marked by political hostility, displacement, and fear, SCIA works to create spaces of belonging, education, and empowerment rooted in dignity and shared humanity.
Guided by our commitment to justice and informed by Notre Dame’s values, we advocate for the rights and well-being of immigrants, migrants, refugees, and mixed-status communities while building coalitions across diverse cultural, racial, and social identities.
Through education, advocacy, cultural celebration, and community engagement, SCIA seeks to unite students in resisting dehumanization, uplifting marginalized voices, and affirming that diversity is a source of strength. We believe that resilience is collective, liberation is interconnected, and lasting change is possible only when communities stand together.
