This project is concerned with the many important, interconnected aquatic habitats located west of the City of South Bend, northern Indiana, and that we call the St. Joseph County Kettle Lake Corridor (SJCKLC). Here we share information about the corridor to help promote its preservation and restoration. An overview of the SJCKLC provides context for the information about many of the different locations that together constitute an important ecosystem for the region and the state of Indiana. Other information includes research being conducted by undergraduate students at the University of Notre Dame and by many other partner organizations, and photograph galleries of the many animals, plants, and fungi found in the corridor.
