Trips

IAAPA Conference:

Every November, we travel to Orlando, Florida for the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions aka the IAAPA Expo. IAAPA is an incredible opportunity for our members to learn more about the themed entertainment industry and to increase their professional networks. We also hold our annual Alumni dinner during this time where we invite Notre Dame Alumni working in the themed entertainment field to come out and network with current Notre Dame students while enjoying a free meal.

ASTM F24:

ASTM F24 is the leading committee that helps to produce safety standards across the entire themed entertainment industry. They typically meet twice a year: once in February, and once in October. We are privileged to be able to attend the meeting in February each year, as our attendants learn a great deal about safety in the industry, gaining experience on practical and specific ways to apply the skills they gained from schooling. Further, they are also able to extend their networks.

Students in Themed Entertainment (SITE):

Late in the spring semester, several of our members travel to Columbus, Ohio to participate in the Students in Themed Entertainment (SITE) conference. Unlike other networking events, SITE is specifically designed for students wishing to get into the industry. This allows participants to have the incredible opportunity of sharing their experiences in the industry and building outstanding connections with both professionals and other students in an environment that will greatly benefit them.
