Theodore Hesburgh, C.S.C
For 35 years as president of the University of Notre Dame, and many years beyond, Father Ted Hesburgh championed service to the common good and an ethos of justice. He supported the Center for Experiential Learning and the Office of Volunteer Services, and help lead their integration in 1983 to form the Center for Social Concerns.
