John Ochieng

John recently received an M.S. in Chemical Biology from the University of Michigan. As his undergraduate research experience provided the opportunity to work directly with patients, the shift towards benchtop research in his graduate education piqued his interest to engage in academic research. John is thrilled to apply the skills and knowledge gained in his education as he contributes to the study of intracellular pH dynamics and its regulation of proteins, pathways, and cellular behavior. 

When not in the lab, John enjoys running, playing basketball, and keeping active. In his free time you can find him caught up in a book, sitting by the piano, or hiking with friends
