Caitlin Donahue is originally from Roanoke, Virginia and graduated from Roanoke College with a B.S. in biochemistry in May of 2017. Caitlin is a third-year graduate student pursuing a Ph.D. in biochemistry. She performed research in both biochemistry and analytical chemistry labs during her tenure at Roanoke College. During her time in the White lab, Caitlin is focusing on creating new optogenetic tools for manipulating intracellular pH in real time. Outside of lab, she enjoys playing with her 2 cats (Nessie and Goose), listening to music, and hanging out with friends.
