Châu is pursuing a Ph.D in Biochemistry at the University of Notre Dame. She received her bachelor’s degree in medical science and technology from the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi. For her thesis, Châu conducted a research titled: In silico investigation of type I diabetes potential inhibitors from phytochemicals of Kaempferia parviflora and Distichochlamys citrea and their amino acid discriminative analysis.
In the White Lab, Châu is studying how pH-dependent protein abundance regulates cytokinesis in mammalian cells. Originally from Vietnam, Châu enjoys spending my free time as a volunteer and hanging out with her friends. Great books and her guitar are two things that help Châu overcome the hard times. One of Châu’s favorite quotes is: “Every brilliant experiment, like every great work of art, starts with an act of imagination”.
