Jessamine Kuehn is from Maple Grove, Minnesota. She worked in the White Lab from 2019-2022. She published a co-first author paper with the lab (Sesanto, Kuehn et al. Biochemistry, 2021). You can see her discussion of that work on the lab’s Video page.

Jessamine completed a Glinn honors thesis on work exploring pH sensitivity of metabolic enzymes (both wild-type and cancer-associated mutants). Jessamine was awarded the 2021 Weich Award for excellence in academics and undergraduate research and the 2022 William R. Wischerath Outstanding Chemistry Major Award.

Jessa is now pursuing her Ph.D. in Pharmacology at the University of Wisconsin.

Her favorite activities outside of lab include playing the trumpet in Notre Dame bands and dancing at ballroom dance competitions.
