Smita is pursuing a Ph.D in Biochemistry at the University of Notre Dame. She received her B.S. and M.S. in biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts. Her thesis project is focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms by which pHi dynamics regulate glycolytic enzyme biomolecular condensate composition and dynamics in living cells. Outside of science, Smita enjoys making art, traveling, and photography.
