Not TV, but relevant enough: “A billboard that went up on Wednesday in London uses facial-recognition technology to know – 90% of the time – whether you’re a man or woman. And it gives you a different advertisement depending on your gender.”

    This is just asking for someone to get offended when it identifies him/her as the wrong gender.

    This reminds me of the facial recognition problems with identifying black genders that plagued the launch of Microsoft’s recognition camera called the Kinect for XBox 360. Was a huge problem for the company because part of a whole race was not given the whole product experience even though they paid the same price as everyone else.
