Introduction

The Multicellular Systems Engineering Lab is inspiring new ways to treat a broad range of human diseases, such as cancer, and to accelerate wound healing and regeneration. In particular, we focus on the biological regulation of  tissue growth, morphogenesis,  and regeneration.

As systems bioengineers, we utilize a diverse set of tools to characterize biological systems including computational models, microfluidics, microscopy, image processing and data analysis, and genetics. We use a combination of experimental and computational approaches to reverse engineer multicellular systems.

With a mechanistic knowledge of cell-cell communication, we also are developing approaches to forward engineer the control of cell signaling other cellular processes. We are a highly inter-disciplinary and diverse team with a strong network of collaborators across multiple departments and institutions.

We are actively recruiting graduate students and post-docs. Please contact Dr. Zartman with your CV and research interests.
