Fall 2020/Spring 2021 Issue

Editor’s Note

For the 2020-2021 academic year, we opted to publish one issue of outstanding work in a higher quality format rather than our typical bi-annual publication. This is part of an ongoing effort to put forth the best scholarship and art from the Glynn Family Honors Program and the Notre Dame Scholars Program. By working a lot harder on one issue, we believe we have achieved a better platform to recognize our authors. This new edition also recognizes our valuable readers, aiming to make the publications more accessible and reader-friendly.

In this edition of the journal, there are high-caliber research essays, poignant poems, the introduction to a novel, interdisciplinary scholarship, and premier watercolor paintings.

Special thanks are due to Angelica Ketcham for her tremendous efforts in designing the journal. This was only possible due to the contributions of many staff members, who dedicated their weekends and even their Winter break to reviewing submissions, copy-editing, and working directly with authors.

Please enjoy this special issue of the journal, and thank you to our contributors, our editors, and you, our readers!
