Exams

There are two 35-minute exams, each with two parts.

  1. Media language (60%) – multiple choice questions about specific textbook chapters. To prepare for these questions read the assigned chapters in the textbook and study the digital flashcards available through Quizlet.
  2. Media critique (40%) – an open-book essay about a media sample. Following the critique guide, you explain what was done well and how it might be improvedTo prepare, review your notes from in-class critiques and the material on the class website. Try to do a critique on your own. There is more about critiques on Google Drive.
