There are two 35-minute exams, each with two parts.
- Media language (60%) – multiple choice questions about specific textbook chapters. To prepare for these questions read the assigned chapters in the textbook and study the digital flashcards available through Quizlet.
- Media critique (40%) – an open-book essay about a media sample. Following the critique guide, you explain what was done well and how it might be improved. To prepare, review your notes from in-class critiques and the material on the class website. Try to do a critique on your own. There is more about critiques on Google Drive.
