The Journal of Data and Societal Endeavors (JDSE) is proud to honor outstanding contributions to our journal through annual awards. These awards are designed to celebrate excellence in research, presentation, and scholarly impact.

Best Figure/Illustration Award ($250):
This award recognizes the most innovative and effective use of visual representation in conveying research findings. Figures will be evaluated based on clarity, creativity, and their ability to enhance understanding of the article’s content.

Best Paper Award – Undergraduate ($500):
This award celebrates the most compelling research article authored by an undergraduate student. Submissions are judged on originality, methodological rigor, and the relevance of the research to data science and societal impact.

Best Paper Award – Graduate, JD, MBA ($500):
This award highlights outstanding research conducted by a graduate, JD or MBA student. Winning articles demonstrate advanced scholarship, impactful findings, and strong contributions to the journal’s mission of linking data science with societal challenges.

Awardees will be announced after completing reviews, with their contributions showcased as examples of excellence in academic research and communication. You are able to win multiple awards for a single submission, and are eligible to win awards on future submissions even if you have already won an award in the past.
