Jonathan Karr is a Ph.D. student in the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department at the University of Notre Dame. Jonathan received his B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Notre Dame in 2024. He interned during his undergraduate summers at Qualcomm, supporting their audio software development group. His research focuses on graph learning and data mining. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys running and is passionate about leveraging data for societal impact.

Sanchita Chakraborty
EXECUTIVE EDITOR
Sanchita Chakraborty is a Ph.D. student in Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Notre Dame, with prior degrees from Purdue and the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her research focuses on mathematical modeling of biological systems, particularly mean first passage time problems, nuclear growth dynamics, and active nematics, using tools from fluid dynamics, asymptotic analysis, and finite element methods.

Bingxue An
MANAGING EDITOR
Bingxue An is a Ph.D. candidate in Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics. She received her B.S. in Mathematics and B.S. in Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her M.S. in Statistics from the University of Chicago. Her research lies at the intersection of statistics, machine learning, and data science, with a focus on developing methods that improve the stability and interpretability of data-driven tools.

Jingjie Cao
ASSOCIATE EDITOR (GRADUATE SECTION)
Jingjie Cao is a Ph.D. student in Sustainable Development at the University of Notre Dame’s Keough School of Global Affairs. She holds an M.A. in Public Policy and a B.A. in International Development from China Agricultural University. Her research uses quantitative and interdisciplinary methods to study sustainable food and agricultural systems, with particular interests in emerging agricultural technologies, environmental impacts, agricultural policy, and the behavioral responses to policy change. Her work seeks to connect data driven research with practical questions in sustainability.

FABIAN DIAZ MALDONADO

Fabián D. Maldonado is a Ph.D. student in Sociology at the University of Notre Dame. His research interests lie at the intersection of political sociology, economic sociology, and contentious politics. He is developing a research agenda on the contentious dynamics surrounding markets and technological infrastructures, with particular attention to artificial intelligence, professional communities, and public contestation around emerging technologies.

FABIAN DIAZ MALDONADO

Austin’s research focuses on the use of machine learning and psychometrics to improve scale development and psychological measurement. Austin is particularly interested in the use of topic modeling, text generation, and other natural language processing methods to understand and predict risk domains (e.g., violence, aggression, suicide). His applied work broadly focuses on educational and Clinical outcomes.
