The first step to becoming an active member of GS-ARIND is to fill out this form which will let us know that you want to join our mailing list. At the start of each semester we will send out an email about membership dues.
Note: While active members will receive priority access to a small number of events we host, membership is not required to participate in this group!! We do not want to exclude anyone from participating in the antiracism work that is needed on campus, and anyone regardless of membership status is welcome to attend meetings, events, and participate in the group as much as they would like.
When we formed this group, we established a $10 membership fee per semester. Our goal is to use this money (along with other funds) to establish an honorarium through which we can pay invited speakers and guests and host events. Members who are up to date on membership fees will have first access to any attendance-limited events that we host. In the form for collecting membership dues, we also provide a “membership fee exemption” option which you can select, no questions asked, if you would like to become an active member but are unable to pay the membership fee. Please know that responses to this form will be as anonymous as possible, with only two executive board members viewing the replies.
