Our group utilizes a combination of large-scale numerical and analytical techniques to study the emergent properties of strongly correlated quantum materials through model calculations and comparisons against experimental spectroscopy. Specific topics of interest include:

  • Intertwined orders in unconventional superconductors
  • Strange metallic transport and non-Fermi liquids
  • Order parameter fluctuations and pseudogaps
  • Interplay of electron-phonon and electron-electron interactions

These problems have been investigated through techiniques including:

  • Determinantal quantum Monte Carlo
  • Cluster perturbation theory
  • Maximum entropy method analytic continuation
  • Exact diagonalization
  • High temperature expansions
