September 19, 2024 – TeX Talk: Introduction to LaTeX

• Learn how to use LaTeX, a type-setting system that enables you to write mathematical expressions in an intuitive and easy-to-learn format (your graders will thank you!)
• People of all skill levels welcome!
• Hear from our president Julian and our treasurer Zach and get to know other students in Math Club

September 12, 2024 – Math Club T-Shirt Decorating (5-7 PM outside of Hayes-Healy)

• Come to the first event of the year and decorate the Math Club T-Shirt that hangs proudly in the Math Bunker!
• Meet other students interested in the math community

Spring 2020

February 28, 2020 – Poker Night at Legends (9 PM)

• Have a fun time playing poker and working with one of the cooler applications of math.
• Prizes are awarded to the top 3 winners and there is no entrance fee.
• Food will be available to purchase from Legends.

March 17, 2020 – Problem Solving Competition (7 PM in Hayes-Healy 229)

• Battle Royale to win prizes and bragging rights. Have a great time with your friends and a get a  chance to boost your self-esteem by tackling some of the hardest problems the officers can come up with.

September 24, 2019 – LaTeX Workshop (7-8 PM at Hayes-Healy 127)

• LaTeX is a simple tool similar to computer coding that allows you to write beautiful mathematical expressions through a user-friendly interface. Learning LaTeX is easy and seriously useful for writing professional-looking assignments, resumes, and papers in math, science, and engineering. In addition, in several advanced computer science courses, students are required to learn how to use LaTeX in their classes. Come to the workshop to get started using this awesome tool!
