Sonja Lyubomirsky, PhD, is Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Riverside. Her work aims to develop a science of human happiness, addressing three critical questions: 1) What makes people happy?; 2) Is happiness a good thing?; and 3) How can we make people happier still? Lyubomirsky’s research has been honored with a Templeton Positive Psychology Prize and a million-dollar grant (with
Sheldon) from NIMH. Lyubomirsky’s 2008 book, The How of Happiness: A
Scientific Approach to Getting the Life You Want (Penguin Press) has been
translated into 18 languages.
