Fireside Tacos with GE

Join us for a joint event with the National Society of Black Engineers. From 6 – 8 pm EDT, GE engineers will be hosting career sessions. Each session will be a career panel featuring ND Alumni with the degrees specified below.

We highly encourage you all to join us and gain insight on the different and varied career paths you can take with your engineering degree.

Sessions are as follows. All times are in EDT:

  • 6:00-6:30pm | AME (Aero, Mechanical)
  • 6:30-7:00pm | CS, EE (Comp Sci, Electrical)
  • 7:00-7:30pm | CHEG (Chemical)
  • 7:30-8:00pm | AME (Aero, Mechanical)

Before this event, come stop by to get some TACOS 🌮 from Duncan Student Patio from 5 – 6 pm EST. This is right outside Duncan Student Center, where the wooden tables and chairs are across from DeBart.

Allison Firestone from Entrepreneur Futures Network (EFN) shared with us an opportunity from the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Geothermal Collegiate Case Competition. Students can win a cash prize. University students will gain real-world renewable energy industry experience from this short assignment by designing a use case, performing a resource assessment, and evaluating usage and loads. Here is the application. The deadline to apply is March 9, 2021. (The flyer mistakenly says the 8th).
