Each year, members of our chapter of SWE attend the SWE National conference. Through this experience, members are able to network with professionals and companies that do not actively attend Notre Dame’s Career Fair and learn from workshops and seminars hosted by women in engineering. The students are also able to represent Notre Dame and meet other engineering students from across the country.
Traditionally, the Notre Dame students attend the conference in person. In 2020, however, due to Covid, the conference was held virtually. This allowed even more SWE members to attend the conference and provided access to numerous professional development and networking opportunities at the students’ finger tips.
Many of SWE’s members can attest to finding internships and job opportunities through the SWE National Conference and each year, our chapter of SWE is able to make more professional connections to broaden our reach in bringing companies and opportunities to our members.
