Overview
Our lab is on the basement floor of Nieuwland Science Hall (B084), where mechanical vibrations from the outside environment are mitigated. The lab space is around 2,000 ft2 enclosing, among others, three independent acoustic chambers. The acoustic chambers house cryogenic ultrahigh vacuum scanning tunneling microscopes with in situ sample and tip preparation tools.
