Biographical Information

Nicole Reilly interned for Holtec International, a Nuclear Engineering company in New Jersey.  While there she assisted the structural and geotechnical engineers in the Civil Engineering department with various tasks such as nuclear power plant design, earthquake spectral matching, and various excel calculations.

While at Rowan University she became the Vice President of Engineers Without Boarders (EWB).  In this position she assisted the President with decisions for the club, along with report writing for an assessment trip to Valle Verde, Dominican Republic.  She traveled with the Rowan University Student Chapter of EWB to assess the land to see if an aqueduct was feasible in order to supply water to the community.  While there, the team performed water quality testing of various water sources, map drawings, community relations, health surveys, and educational plans.

Nicole was also involved in a green stormwater infrastructure project at Rowan University.  For this project she worked with a team conducting research and modeling to determine how rain gardens would improve the flooding conditions in Salem City, NJ.  Some of the tasks included GIS Digitizing to calculate permeable and impermeable areas along with stormwater modeling with SWMM 5.1.

In her spare time Nicole enjoys hiking and volleyball.
