Ipek Kulahci is a senior research associate in the Archie lab. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University, her Master of Science degree from University of Arizona, and her Ph.D. from Princeton University. Ipek is interested in animal social behavior, communication, and cognition, and has worked with multiple species of insects, birds, and mammals. In addition to animal behavior, she is fascinated with astronomy and astrobiology, and was previously a research associate at the SETI Institute and NASA Ames Research Center. Ipek has a personal website, and she is the founder and the editor of Animal Cognition Network, which features an extensive bibliography of scientific evidence on animal minds and emotions.
