This article provides an additional perspective and some ideas on which characteristics constitute nowadays a(n) (successful) entrepreneur. I mentions some key abilities that might be surprizing, since they are not generally associated with successful entrepreneurship.

I particularly liked the “empathy” portion. Sometimes the best way to get your team to produce their best work is to just give them the tools and step back, understanding that they will produce their best work when they are happy.
This is interesting, but I can see why the author chose these qualities–not just in relation to entrepreneurship, but leadership positions in general. Especially empathy. I think that’s what most of management in companies lack. They often have the personality (charisma) to communicate and be empathetic to their employees, but often put it on the back burner to tend to other “more” important aspects of the business. When in reality, the worker is the key to keeping the business afloat and keeping customers happy.
Sandro, great article. Along the same lines, I have attached an article from Forbes identifying five trends for marketers and entrepreneurs in 2018. Emotional engagement and empathy being a common element in both articles. Though these articles do not distinguish the different kind of entrepreneurs, it is interesting to see that emotional intelligence is becoming a factor. This trend is distinctive from Pozen’s interpretation of a capitalist entrepreneur. In Pozen’s article, a capitalist entrepreneur does not aim to make the world a better place (more of a social entrepreneur’s role), but instead, takes the position that, “If it makes the world a better place, it is in the nature of capitalist markets.” To be a “capitalist entrepreneur” in future years, according to Forbes, “It seems that emotional engagement is proving to be more and more critical to achieving winning results and effective storytelling and digital marketing are at the heart of this movement.” Perhaps, blurring the lines between social and capitalist entrepreneurs.
