Coming this summer: The Fall of Gondolin. This story was Tolkien’s minimum viable product before he perfected it into the Lord of the Rings. Or at least, it’s a sort of similar story from the First Age of Middle Earth. (Ok that was a stretch, but it’s still exciting.)
I’ll add this to my summer reading list, I just got a Kindle and I can’t wait to put some more books on it. Right now I just read Michael Connelly and pretend his books are helping me study (I found like ten FRPC rule violations in the Lincoln Lawyer’s first chapter).
I agree! I can’t enough of Tolkien anything!
As a Tolkien fanatic, I love this idea of presenting a deeper historical outline of Gondolin since it is one of the major cities highlighted in Lord of the Rings. I look forward to reading it!
