FAQ

Faculty participants may request a chalk-talk slot during registration. Because the program has limited time, talk slots will be confirmed by the organizers after registration and abstract review.

Graduate students and postdoctoral researchers are encouraged to present posters. At this time, oral presentations are primarily reserved for faculty chalk talks unless otherwise announced by the organizers.

Posters are not required for attendance, but students and postdocs are strongly encouraged to present a poster to share their work and participate fully in the conference.

A chalk talk is an informal research presentation designed to stimulate discussion. Faculty speakers should focus on concepts, emerging directions, and open questions rather than a polished slide-based seminar.

MUACC traditionally emphasizes chalk talks with no PowerPoint slides. Any exceptions will be communicated by the organizers.

We plan to include a poster competition for student and/or postdoctoral presenters. Details about eligibility, judging criteria, and awards will be posted closer to the conference.
