History

The POSMOL meeting consists of two research areas in quantum physics and was first held in Campinas, Brazil. It is a combination of two workshops:

  • Low-Energy Positron and Positronium Physics (the POS)
  • Electron-Molecule Collisions and Swarms (and the MOL)

POSMOL is a satellite meeting of the ICPEAC conference (ICPEAC 2023 will be held in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada).

This page presents a brief history of the combined meetings as well as each individual workshop before that.

There were two Satellite conferences in 1993:

As noted in the 1985 proceedings introduction the conferences prior to this were split.

Previous to this, the Electron-Molecule Collisions Symposium and the International SWARM seminar – Electron and ion swarms, were held as separate meetings.
