A Discernment Dinner is hosted each semester by the Society of Women Engineers. Upperclassmen and faculty speak with underclassmen about their major and career discernment journeys to mentor the younger students as they declare their majors within the college of engineering. Discerning the right major is a daunting task and one that faces second semester freshmen students each year. These Discernment Dinners give the students the information they need to make informed choices about their futures and discover the right path for them as they embark on their Notre Dame engineering journey.
