Scholarship for Non-Exempt Staff

The Fred Freeman scholarship is available to all full time, non-exempt staff who have completed a minimum of three years of service. Up to $1,000 in tuition assistance per semester is available to those pursuing a college degree, or other post-secondary education or certification.

Eligible participants must also meet the following requirements:

  • Courses must be taken during non-work hours.
  • Grade of C or better must be obtained. (Since tuition is paid in advance of course work completion, failure to obtain a grade of C or better will require the recipient to personally pay for future courses and receive reimbursement with approved tuition receipts and grades.)
  • Recipients must take at least one (1) course each fall and spring semester to remain eligible and can take no more than nine (9) credit hours per semester.
