Financial Crises

ECON 43370 studies the nexus of financial crises and the implications of crises for the macroeconomy. Focus will be on the two major crises in the US from the last one hundred years – the Great Depression and the Great Recession. Several primary and secondary sources – including books and academic articles – will be assigned. Evaluation will be based on several short papers.
