Members of the Notre Dame Folk Choir, or “Folkheads,” include both undergraduate and graduate students as well as Notre Dame staff. Although we come from many different places, everyone in the Folk Choir shares a bond like none other.
Undergraduate members come from a variety of majors and are brought together by their common love of music and faith. They offer not only their vocal abilities but their individual personalities to create an affirming and supportive family. Often described as similar to handling a “bag of puppies,” the students literally bounce while singing as their song becomes an outward expression of prayer. When one finds him or herself with the Folk Choir, he or she witnesses the love, grace, and genuine joy God calls us all to share.
