We are thrilled to congratulate Dr. Vikram Pareek, a postdoctoral researcher in the Champion Lab at the University of Notre Dame, on receiving a 2024 BELS Supplemental Professional Development Award! This competitive award from the Bioengineering & Life Sciences (BELS) Initiative will fund his innovative project, “Analysis of antibacterial activity of phage mimicking silver nanoparticles against Mycobacterium tuberculosis.”
Dr. Pareek will be co-advised on this multidisciplinary project by Dr. Prakash Nallathamby, Associate Director of Research at the Berthiaume Institute for Precision Health (BIPH). The funding will support their research into novel nanotechnology-based approaches for combating tuberculosis.
