On March 11, in response to the spread of COVID-19 in the United States, the University of Notre Dame announced the decision to suspend all in-person classes and highly recommended against hosting University-sponsored events that convene a high number of individuals through April 13.
Given these recommendations, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Notre Dame Student Peace Conference. We have been in touch with all presenters and those who have already registered to attend the conference. Thank you for your understanding as we navigate this rapidly changing landscape.
This year, we are managing all of our conference registrations through Eventbrite, an internet-based event management platform. To reach our event registration page, use the link below or go to https://eventbrite.com and search for us by name.
Your registration automatically includes a digital version of the conference booklet, a printed name badge, refreshments between sessions, a light breakfast on Saturday morning, and hopefully some fun stuff too.
If you wish to participate in either of the free conference meals—dinner on Friday, April 3, and lunch on Saturday, April 4—please be sure to add those to your registration. To attend the conference meals, you must register by Saturday, March 28.
Finally, to reduce waste and paper consumption, we are producing a limited number of printed conference booklets this year. There is no fee to request a print version, but we hope you will support our move toward ecological sustainability by forgoing this option. If you do need a printed conference booklet for any reason, you may add that request to your registration.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
