At the September 2021 science policy forum, SPI@ND announced the formation of two new committees: The policy memo writing and policymaker engagement committees.
The policy memo writing committee will work to develop science policy memos for both local officials and national competitions, making it an excellent opportunity to get experience in writing policy and tackling issues of interest at multiple levels of government.
The policymaker engagement committee will work with local- and state-level policymakers and community groups to help provide scientific information, advice, and assistance where needed.
