Shayna is a rising senior at the University of Hawaii at Hilo majoring in Biology with a concentration of cell and molecular biology in addition to minoring in chemistry. After graduation she plans to attend either graduate or medical school. Her research interests pertain to the biomedical branch of science which includes immunology, human physiology, and factors that contribute to the onset and progression of cancer cells. Shayna is a member of the pre-med and biology club in which she participates in community service and fundraising activities.
