2013-’14 Won the Midwest championship at home with a 6-4 win over Grand Valley State University, the team’s 8th in a row and 11th overall. We received an automatic bid to Nationals. Notre Dame finished 9th at the National Championship Tournament (after a tough opening round loss to the #6 and extremely experienced Arizona State team. It was an excellent game and despite starting the game in an 0-3 hole closed the gap to one goal with a minute to play.) and 9th in the final national poll of 2014. Junior Ellen Dowling was named to the NCCC all-tournament 2nd team. Rachael Glenister, Ellen Dowling, Kathleen Schiavenza, Colleen Fricke, Maddie Renezeder and GK Sarah Fleming were named first team All- Midwest. Alex Whelan was named second team. Sr. Rachael Glenister was named Midwest Conference MVP. Coughlin was named MW Coach of the Year. This marked the first time in team and conference history that an entire starting 7 from one team was named all-conference. We also had 4 players named All American: Rachael Glenister 1st Team, Sarah Fleming, Ellen Dowling and Colleen Fricke Honorable Mention. This was the most member from a single ND team ever named All American in the same year. We were 0-1 against Varsity competition, 0-1 vs. Masters Teams and 21-4 against club teams. Our highest ranking during the season was #6. Team Captains were Rachel Glenister, Sarah Fleming and Ellen Dowling.
