2014-’15 Won the Midwest championship at Miami with a 8-5 win over Lindenwood, the team’s 9th in a row and 12th overall. We received an automatic bid to Nationals. Notre Dame finished 2th at the National Championship Tournament (beating San Diego State in the semis; SDSU was the defending National Champions. Everyone who made the trip played in the first three games.) and 2nd in the final national poll of 2015. Senior Ellen Dowling was named to the NCCC all-tournament 1st team. Sophomore Goal Keeper Caley Martinez was named to the NCCC all-tournament 2nd team. Coughlin was named Coach of the National Championship Tournament. Ellen Dowling, and Kathleen Schiavenza were named first team All- Midwest. Alex Whelan and Colleen Fricke were named second team. Senior Ellen Dowling was named Midwest Conference MVP. Coughlin was named MW Coach of the Year. We also had 4 players named All American: Senior Ellen Dowling was named 1st Team All American, Sophomore Caley Martinez was named 2nd Team All American, Junior Colleen Fricke was named 3rd Team All American and Senior Kathleen Schiavenza was named Honorable Mention All American, tying a program record for the most All Americans in a season. We were 1-0 against Varsity competition, 0-1 vs. Masters Teams and 18-7 against club teams. Our highest ranking during the season was the final poll #2. Team Captains were Ellen Dowling, Alex Whelan and Megan McAveeney.
