2011-’12: During the regular season we suffered our first ever loss to Grand Valley State. Coughlin missed the Michigan State invite due to illness. Coughlin also missed Midwest Championships due to the passing of his father. Won the Midwest championship at Home with a win over Grand Valley State University 8-7 at home with Alums coaching in Coughlin’s absence. We received an automatic bid to Nationals. Notre Dame finished ranked 12th at the National Championship Tournament and 14th in the final national poll of 2012. Maisie O’Malley was named 2nd team all-tournament at NCCC. Erin Gibson, Kelly Gibson and Maisie O’Malley were named first team All-Midwest. Ellen Dowling was named second team. Maisie O’Malley was named Midwest Conference MVP. We also had 2 players named All American: Maisie O’Malley 1st team, and Kelly Gibson 3rd team. We were 1-1 against Varsity competition and 19-8 against club teams. Team Captains were Danielle Guidry, Maisie O’Malley and Erin Gibson.
