Season Recap:
2015-16 Lost in the Midwest championship game at Rolf’s to Grand Valley State snapping a National Record of 9 conference Championships in a row. It was an upset as we had beaten GVSU 7-1 the week prior. A ton of focus was placed on beating Lindenwood in the Semi Final and we did not get back up for the Final. GVSU went out to a 1-4 lead and then left players on defense the rest of the game taking away our counter attack. We set a team record by taking 41 shots on goal. Grand Valley went on to place 6th at Nationals. We had two players named first team All-Midwest, Sr’s Maddie Renezeder and Colleen Fricke. Caley Martinez, Kelly Fricke, and Sammy Henze were named second team. We also had 3 players named All American: Senior Colleen Fricke 1st Team, Senior Maddie Renezeder and Junior Caley Martinez were named Honorable Mention All American. We did not play any Varsity competition and went 1-0 against Masters club team and 17-5 against college club teams. Our highest ranking during the season was #1, our final ranking after not qualifying for Nationals was #8, we spent most of the year in the top 5. Team Captains were Maddie Renezeder, Colleen Fricke and Caley Martinez
