We use a 3 MV Tandem Pelletron Particle Accelerator shown below along with a picture of a proton beam passing through air.
Our group focuses mainly on environmental PFAS measurements through a technique known as PIGE which you can read more about via a button below. We can also measure a wide range of elements with PIGE and another similar technique known as PIXE. Below are links to the measurement techniques along with one of our past PFAS measurement projects.
